About Us
Community Voluntary Action delivers the combined services of a Council For Voluntary Service and a Volunteer Centre. Our Area of benefit encompasses the market town of Ledbury and twenty three surrounding rural Parishes of Herefordshire. In addition to the above we also deliver a number of Volunteer based community projects for the Ledbury area, details of which may be found on this website. We are a member of the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA).First established in 1985 under the name of Ledbury Voluntary Action, the organisation has gone from strength to strength and now manages several projects which benefit some 15,000 residents.
Community Voluntary Action employs 4 members of staff and is run with the assistance of approximately 80 volunteers.
Management of Community Voluntary Action is with an Executive Committee of Trustees elected at the A.G.M.
